Before CIS Biotech's patented assays, no blood tests were available to detect brain markers of cerebral ischemia. None of the previously available technologies allowed physicians to diagnose or predict ischemic stroke directly and cost-effectively. Now there is a solution!

Based on preclinical and clinical studies, two assays have been created and developed by CIS Biotech, viz.

1. Gold Dot-1 Neuro Test (CIS Neuro - ELISA - Antibody) can determine the level of circulating antibody concentrations (ANTIBODY-Determination) for identification of chronic TIA/stroke, risk assessment, and posttreatment follow-up. This test is useful as a diagnostic tool to detect chronic disease such as cerebrovascular abnormalities. This test can also differentiate between cerebral ischemia and stroke-like disorders.

2. Gold Dot-2 Neuro Test (CIS Neuro - LAT - Antigen) can determine the rapid appearance of the NR2 peptide (ANTIGEN-Determination) for diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke. Determination of the NR2 peptide provides a clinical sensitivity of 90% and a clinical specificity of 95% for ischemic stroke. The pretest probability can be strengthened by use of neuroimaging and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale scores.
